Another year closes, a New Year opens… this is YOUR life – live it outstandingly 24/7/52/365.
So what defines fruitfulness throughout this yet-to-unfold adventure?
Through what lens shall we reflect on the past and view the future?
As attitude determines altitude, we choose our launching point for a year’s trajectory waiting to be travelled.
There are fruits to savour, achievements to celebrate, thanks to be offered;
There are dreams to realise, plans to be made, goals to be defined, opportunities to prepare for, resources to be released;
Seconds, minutes, hours, days, months and years pass with each heartbeat, inhaled and exhaled, valued only by the wise,
While spheres rotate and revolve, synchronised and upheld by a force invisible, yet fuelled with life.
Inventions, conceived and hidden, are emerging and being refined,
Solutions to unsolvable problems, answers to unexpressed questions, solace to desperate cries shouted from mountain tops;
Seeds sown into darkness, bursting with potential, release miracles no longer trapped—growth, multiplication—purpose fulfilled.
Love’s vast reservoir is accessed by the courageous,
Living water captured, carried and released upon drought-stricken hearts;
Families are reconciled, lost members wait to be found,
Vagabonds long to be adopted as our own;
There are bridges to be built over troubled waters;
Life-lines are thrown to desperate souls, swept along by a raging torrent.
Words are waiting to be formed, spoken for ears to hear and hearts to enfold,
Lasting sentiments will be written for the living and generations yet to be born;
Powerful droplets await assignment to the cyber cloud, projected with intention for precipitation to the right persons in the right places at the right times,
A lasting record deposited by one selfless life, released to fellow man with transforming aim.
Differing strengths compensate for comrades’ weaknesses, reciprocated with gratitude, grace and understanding;
Linking arms and moving forward as a strong, effective team, a formidable force is forged against opposition without or criticism within;
Blood, sweat and tears are watered by affirmation from colleagues in common cause
And, sometimes, by strangers who’ve drawn from the reservoir not merely for themselves.
Hope lives, confidently expecting greater things—sometimes within obvious grasp, at times disguised in hardship or sorrow;
Circumstances may surround, yet faith surges with an unveiled power as our mighty Creator transports His own through the open door to that higher plane;
Horizons expanding, life on Earth is viewed through the exquisite lens of eternal values.
Now has arrived our astounding opportunity to make a profound difference.
